This course introduces you to the basic principles of yoga and the Iyengar yoga system.
The basics of body alignment are taught step by step through yoga postures.
Students will develop their ability to practice yoga safely and understand its benefits.
We focus on classic standing postures, seated postures and gentle backbends and gentle inversions.
Restorative yoga and pranayama are also included in this course.
The use of aids should help you to perform the yoga poses precisely.
The focus here is on the health aspect.

In this course we also practise the classic inversion postures, such as shoulder stand and headstand.
Inverted postures are at the heart of the yoga practice.
When held for a long time, they have a positive effect on body and mind.
We practise staying in the various yoga postures for a longer period of time in order to gain stability and stamina and to focus our attention on the body, breath and mind.
